About Jit

The Jit was born on the streets of Detroit, Michigan in the 1970s. It’s combination of fast moves, fancy footwork and acrobatic elements provides the Jit’s unique flavor. Cultivated in local clubs, venues, street corners and basements, the Jit is a brilliant testimony of Detroit’s heart and soul, style and grit.

About the workshop

This 90min Jit workshop is led by Jit Masters King L1, J-King and guest choreographer Queen Gabby of House of Jit. The class focuses on the fundamentals of Jit: basic footwork, coordination and core movements as well as Jit's intricate footwork patterns, body isolations and freestyle techniques.

Open level - The workshop is open to all levels. Dance experience recommended, not specific to the form of the workshop.
