Early bird will go on sale spring and the Full program will be released the in June.

What happens when it's sold out?

When tickets are sold out, you can physically come to the venue and stand in the waiting line. There will always be a few places available. First come first served.

When is MDW taking place?

Malmö Dance Week is taking place between the 26th of October and the 1st of November 2026.

Malmö Dance Week takes place throughout Malmö and we collaborate with almost all dance scenes in the city.

Who can attend Malmö Dance Week

The short answer is EVERYONE. Malmö Dance Week is a dance, music and cultural festival for the community and for the citizens of Malmö.

FOR AUDIENCE

Hip Hop Weekend

To come as audience, no prior knowledge or experience is required. Bring your friends or your family and enjoy first class international street dance battles front row.

Performances

No age limited, everyone is welcome to enjoy dance, art and performances taking place on stage.

CLUBS

All clubs are 18 +

Lectures / Panel talks

Everyone is welcome. Will be held in english.

Concerts

PARTICIPATING ACTIVITIES
Workshops

* Advanced (morning workshops). In this workshop you need a high level dance experience, not particularly in the same style as the workshop. During these workshops a higher tempo will be maintained with a focus on each teacher's individual technique. The workshops will be held in english. Workshops recommended age is minimum 12 years.

*Open (Lunch / Afternoon). The workshop are open level which means all levels are welcome. But it will not be suitable for beginners therefore we recommend some dance experience. Not particularly in the same style as the workshop. The workshops will be held in english. Workshops recommended age is minimum 12 years.

Kids workshop Recommended age is minimum 6 years. No previous experience is required.

Where can I Buy MDW/HHW merch?

We have our own collection of Hip Hop Weekend / Malmö Dance Week clothes, vinyls etc. Until the next festival you can stop by our office at Hyregatan 7 in Malmö.

Hip Hop Weekend

Hip Hop Weekend is a battle and the grand finale to one of Europe’s biggest street dance festivals, taking place 30 - 31st October 2026. The event is held at Moriska Paviljongen in Malmö Sweden, where some of the world's best street dancers compete in different street styles. In addition, a choreography competition showcase and an all-styles battle for kids will also be held.

Food

Where can i eat during the festival?

‍

* Wraps and other food, alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages is available at Moriska Paviljongen during the whole Hip Hop Weekend.

* You can add a vegan lunch to your lunch performance ticket while buying it at Tickster.

‍

* During the evening performances the bar is always open with beverage, simple food or snacks before and after shows.

Bring the family

Can i bring the whole family?‍

Of course!

‍

Malmö Dance Week Festival is a event for the whole family. There are both tickets for kids under 6 years old (Hip Hop Weekend: 60 SEK) and specific events directed at children.

On Saturday between 13-17 at Moriska Paviljongen during Hip Hop Weekend there will be family hours with lots of activities for the children, besides just watching amazing dancers.

The tickets are non refundable.

Accessibility

Is the festival accessible for people with disabilities?

All venues except the Workshop venues have barrier free access. Please contact us for more specific information.

Airport and train stations

The closest airport is Copenhagen Airport. From there you can easily catch a train directly from the airport to Malmö.

‍

There is two train stations in Malmö. Malmö Central Station and Triangeln. If you are traveling with regional trains (from DK or Sweden) Triangeln is very close to the venues.
