ABOUT THE MOVIE
Joanna Is Skywalking follows dancer Joanna “Skywalker” Holewa Chrona over five years as she explores the Pantsula culture in South Africa and returns to nature in Sweden, in search of balance, inspiration and meaning through the power of dance.
Joanna’s journey is a testament to the power of following your passion. It is a story about some of the world’s most expressive dance moves and the human ability to overcome adversity and find meaning in the ups and downs of life.
"Joanna Is Skywalking ultimately transcends its subject matter and speaks to us all: it is a beautiful celebration of the power of art to unite people, heal wounds, and give direction to our lives. A necessary film, carried by a strong performance and outstanding filmmaking.”
