About the performance

WIRED is a 40 min. interdisciplinary dance & music performance focused on rhythm, soul and emancipation. It is developed and performed by an international & intergenerational cast with powerful personalities, masterful skill sets and educated points of view.

It’s centered around the relation between music & dance as intelligent languages that carry the wisdom of Black traditions. It is an uninterrupted journey through different feelings.

The soundtrack includes black electronic music, soul, beatmaking, body-percussion, singing & poetry. The dance vocabularies are House, Popping, Hip Hop. Spoken words & soulful vocals, accompany keys & melodies, celebrating the feminine qualities of Black culture. Gritty bass lines are complemented by just enough stillness to hear it all. The title refers to the drum which connects the global diaspora with various expressions over oceans of time.
