ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE
In InTension we meet Rebecca Livaniou in a dance solo that moves in several directions simultaneously, without revealing its logic in advance. Inspired by her experiences from the hip hop battle scene – where presence, musicality and timing are everything – she creates a captivating physical monologue where each movement carries its own energy and charge.
Just below the surface, an inner movement is sensed, where contradictions and small shifts make themselves present. Moods and emotions gradually shift and open up to a more ambiguous state. Here it is not about winning over someone else, but about overcoming one's doubts and taking one's place – in front of others and oneself.
