IVER KULTUR / Malmö Dance Week announces an open call for studio residency which are primarily aimed at artists in the street and club dance field.

Two weeks of a studio residency with a work-in-progress showing during the festival Malmö Dance Week. 

This residency is directed to continue the work of an already started artistic process.

Residency: 12-25 of October 2026

Location:  Skånes Dansteater, Malmö

‍What's included

• Production support of SEK 30,000, paid upon invoice (The production support should also cover travel and accommodation expenses during the whole period)
• Two weeks residency at Skånes Dansteater in Malmö. Access to a rehearsal studio during the whole time. 
• 1 work-in-progress showing
• Artistic guidance and idea exchange available upon request with Viktor Fröjd.
• Free pass to the festival Malmö Dance Week. Accommodation covered by Iver during 26th of October - 1st of November if needed.

Application requirements

• The program is specifically for dance artists active within the street dance and club genre.
• Applicants must be available for the entire residency period.
• All individuals mentioned in the application must also complete the residency.
• Participants not residing in Malmö are responsible for arranging and funding their own travel and accommodation for the whole period.
• Participants are encouraged to seek additional funding opportunities.
• This is a studio residency and does not include technical support.
• IVER can offer guidance to applicants seeking accommodation if needed.
• IVER encourages applicants to have a vision for their work beyond the residency, specifically projects with the potential to tour and resonate with audiences across Skåne.
