𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗡 𝗗𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗘
Iver Open Dance training is back at Malmö Kulturskola every Thursday 19.30-21.30. (Entrance closes at 8:30 p.m.) Come when you want and stay as long as you’d like. It's free and open to anyone interested in street dancing regardless of previous experience. The concept is "Each one teach one" which means that everyone who participates is open to meeting, learning and sharing with others. There is always a professional dancer/leader there to share steps and concepts and to guide your practice.
Some training sessions also feature a guest DJ.

The practice starts with an introductory workshop, led by a professional dancer who gives foundation, tips and tricks on how to practice different streetdance styles.
You don’t need to join the intro workshop, it’s totally fine to start the training alongside it.

Johanna Fröjd is a dance artist based in Stockholm. With roots in the house dance culture, she draws inspiration from its social and cultural contexts, moving freely between stage, club, jam, battle, and studio. In recent years, her practice has focused on a deepened exploration of freestyle within music and dance experiences. Through vibration, pulse, and rhythm, she investigates how movement can create both stability and transformation. In this paradox, she explores physical presence, collective energy, and musical dialogue.
Theresa “tr3sa” Gustavsson is a dancer, choreographer, and producer with a strong heart for community. She began her journey within the street dance scene in 2005 and has since participated in battles, taught classes, and created over forty events, multiple performances, and several dance groups. She has immersed herself in a variety of dance styles, with groove and rhythm-based dances at the core of her expression. Her foundation lies in street dance, with a focus on Hiphop, Locking, Popping, and House – both in teaching and artistic work. Theresa is fascinated by the body’s mechanics and motor skills, inspired by various cultural dances, and enjoys challenging body control. She is currently active as a choreographer and producer for the performances Open Doors and YEBO YES!, co-founder of the dance organization AFIA, and coordinator of Monday Dance w. Tr3sa in Malmö. She has trained in NYC and at Åsa Folk High School, and has been teaching since 2005 – working with everyone from five-year-olds to seniors, from beginners to professionals, across Sweden and internationally.
Slowz is not only a world-renowned B-boy but also a DJ, crate digger, and producer. Originally from Vietnam, he has made the world his playground since 2008 and is currently based in Malmö. Driven by his passion for music, he has traveled the globe in search of new sounds and to share his groove and stories with audiences worldwide. Slowz is also one of the founders of the internationally recognized Hanoi Concrete Jam. With his deep love for the DJ craft and exceptional skill, we’re thrilled to have him as part of our Malmö community. Come catch him playing at Open Dance Practice!
IVER Open Dance Practice is an open dance training initiative organized in collaboration between the cultural association Iver and Malmö Kulturskola, with support from Region Skåne.
