PLAN B TAKE OVER‍

The clubs during Hip Hop Weekend can only be described as legendary. Those who know, know! As usual we take over all 3 dance floors at Plan B!!!

‍

During this night a bunch of surprises abound 👀

‍

DJ Wekesa

Sophia has been playing for over 8 years in the Helsinki Scene, clubs and festivals like Flow and Ruis Rock. She started with dancehall and then took over hip hop, rnb, afro beats, amapiano and queer anthems. She is also a dancer so here goal is always to facilitate bodily experiences to people, let go of cool and status, move to joy and enjoyment. Her current club project is called Club U-Haul that is a club for black and brown queer people.

‍

DJ Stew

Originally from France, DJ Stew is deeply inspired by ’90s hip-hop. A former dancer turned DJ, he brings both worlds together behind the decks - and we can’t wait to have him playing for the Hip Hop Battles at the festival.

‍

DJ Kapela

KAPELA is a Paris-based House dancer, DJ, and cultural ambassador deeply rooted in the House dance and clubbing scene. Known for his musicality, groove, and authentic connection to House culture, he has taught, judged, and performed at events and festivals worldwide. This year marks his third appearance at Hip Hop Weekend, where he will once again represent the House category, bringing his energy, experience, and passion to the event.

‍

‍DJ Yared

Yared Tilahun Cederlund is a dancer, composer, choreographer, and DJ with roots in the street dance scene who is now active across multiple performing arts disciplines. His work is grounded in an exploration of how to remain close to creative energy in every moment; this, combined with a strong connection to rhythm and music, forms key components of his unique artistic language.
