For the second year in a row Producer and DJ Joe Claussell from New York is playing at the  festival. Last year's gig was on many people's lips and undoubtedly one of Malmö's most memorable club experiences in 2022. We are therefore extra excited to be able to bring this icon back to Sweden once more.

As main DJ at the Hip Hop Weekend pre-party (HOUSENIGHT) and during house-battle Joe will bring his amazing vibe to Malmö.

Producer and Dj Joe Claussell grew up in Park Slope, Brooklyn and has become one of house music's style makers and pioneers. In the late 1980s, he started working at the Dance Tracks record store in New York. In 1996 he founded the record company Spiritual Life Music. That year he also started Body & Soul together with Francois Kevorkian and Danny Krivit. In 1999 he released Mix the Vibe, which included productions from Masters at Work, Kerri Chandler, Wamdue Kids and Dimitri from Paris.

Joe Claussell has played at several international festivals around the world and at the successful Boiler Room concept.
