The Battle Introduction Workshop will introduce you to different battle concepts. How it works, what are the rules and how can you prepare for entering a competition. We go through different competition formats such as 1vs1, 7toSmoke, Crew.

The workshop will be hosted by Theresa tr3sa Gustavsson and Fredrika "Freddie" Burvall and is primarily theoretical, but there will also be some practical exercises.

Theresa tr3sa Gustavsson is a dancer, choreographer and producer with a heart for community. She started her work in the street dance scene in 2005 and has since participated in battles, taught, created over forty events, performances and groups. She has immersed herself in a number of dance styles, among others. Hip Hop, Locking, Popping and House and other groove and rhythm dances, a wide selection of influences are seen in her free expression. She is the coordinator for IVER Open Dance Practice as well as, Monday dance w. Tr3sa in Malmö.

Fredrika "Freddie" Burvall is a dancer and choreographer from Stockholm, now based in the Netherlands. She has a broad interest in dance, music and movement and has her main focus within house culture. Fredrika studied at Åsa Folk College 2016-2018 and has since taught, battle, run projects and choreographed. In 2019, she was the winner of the House battle during Hip Hop Weekend!

In 2022 she was one of the dancers in "SEARCH" by Lisa Janbell and is now active in "House Decoded" by Wesley Rommy.
